Inhaling certain essential oils heightens the senses and can have many positive effects on the body. Here are some great ideas on how to inhale essential oils:

Some essential oils make excellent dietary supplements or food flavorings. To take a essential oils internally try these tips:

Applying Topically:
Many essential oils are safe to use directly on the skin:
- Placed 1 - 3 drops of oil in the palm of your hand or directly on the desired application area. Massage the oil in a circular motion onto the skin. Repeat if desired.
- Use one of Young Living's essential oil roll-on's or add an AromaGlide fitment to the bottle of your favorite essential oil for targeted application.
Inhalation:
Inhaling certain essential oils heightens the senses and can have many positive effects on the body. Here are some great ideas on how to inhale essential oils:
- Inhaled directly from the bottle.
- Diffuse with any of Young Living's premium diffusers. (Many styles to choose from for your home, car or workplace)
- Carefully pour hot water into a bowl and add a few drops (1-3) of essential oil. Place a cover over your head and the bowl. Create a tent like fashion with a towel. Breathe deeply and slowly.
Internal Consumption:
Some essential oils make excellent dietary supplements or food flavorings. To take a essential oils internally try these tips:
- Place several drops into it get gelatin capsule and swallow it with water.
- Add 1 - 2 drops to a glass of water, NingXia Red or other natural juice, or even yogurt.
- Add 1 - 2 drops to taste to your meals when cooking.
- Add 1 -2 drops to a teaspoon of Young Living Yacon or Blue Agave and swallow.
- They can even be used as suppositories.
Safe Use of Essential Oils
1. Keep essential oils out of reach of children.
2. Never dilute an essential oil with water. Always use a carrier oil.
3. Keep oils stored in a cool, dark areas. Away from heat and direct sun.
4. Do not use essential oils in your ears.
5. Do not use essential oils in your eyes. If an oil gets in your eye, do not flush with water. Apply your carrier oil directly to you eye and the oil with flush out.
6. Use caution when applying essential oils rich in menthol (such as peppermint) on the throat or neck area of children under 18 months of age. Refer to Gentle Babies for usage recommendations.
7. Never add undiluted essential oils directly to bath water. Use Young Living’s Bath Gel Base, Epsom Salts or Bath Salts as a dispersing agent for oils in the bath.
8) Always refere to the GRAS (Generally Regarded as Safe) chart before taking essential oils internally.
9) Pregnant women should always consult with their health care professional when starting any health care program. Keep in mind, oils containing constituents with hormone-like activity, such as clary sage, sage, tansy, juniper and fennel should be avoided when pregnant.
10) The bottoms of the feet are the best location to applying oils to the body. Dilution is normally not needed.
11) Photosensitive Oils are: Grapefruit, Tangerine, Angelica, Orange, Bergamot and other citrus oils and may cause a rash or dark pigmentation on the skin if exposed to direct sunlight or UV rays within 1-2 days after application.
