Our Family In a Nutshell
Hey there and Welcome! My name is Robin and I am so glad that you stopped by our family website – growing4hisglory.
I’m not sure how you stumbled across our little meadow among the rolling hills of the Internet, but I’m sure glad you did. More than likely we are kindred-sprits and have similar passions. Someday I would love to hear about yours – but in the meantime let me tell about mine. It’s very simple really. Our goal is to grow together (1) In Family Life, (2) In Orphan Love, and (3) In Healthy Living. We would be honored if you walked with us for a while on this journey together!
First, let me say a word about our family. I’ll start with me since I will be your main host. I am a mother of four and the wife of one. My husband’s name is Chris. He loves Classical Education, Organic Gardening, Theology, Street Preaching, Surfing, Messing Around with Our Kids, and an Occasional IPA.
Hannah (9) is our oldest. If you want to see a picture of her just look up ‘Strong-Willed Child’ in the Encyclopedia. The whole article will be devoted to her.
Ki-Ki (7) is the prototypical boy. Better behaved than Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn, but definitely along those lines. He was once attacked by a pig.
Phoebe (4) is our little blond-bell that…well…umm...may not be playing with a full deck. She speaks her own language and well... not sure what else to say. She's our beautiful disaster.
Jeremiah (1) (surnamed "Bee-My-Ah-Pie" by Phoebe) is our newest little fella. We believe that he is the only human being to have ever pet a gopher.
Finally, we also have a little dog named EE. Although we believe that he should be the 6th countenance on Mt. Rushmore, you will probably only see an article or two devoted to his kingship here. We really want to protect him from the ever-intrusive paparazzi to whom he is little more than a pretty face.
We are (like all families) broken and hobbling and must rely daily on the grace of God to continue growing together.
Beyond our own four walls the Lord has laid heavily on my heart the plight of the 147+ world’s million orphans. I can’t wait to share with you the Father’s Heart for these little one’s.
That brings me to my third great passion: Healthy Living. In due time, this little corner of the world-wide web will be filled with everything you ever wanted to know about Organic Food, Essential Oils, and a half-dozen other things to help keep your family in tip-top shape. I’ll be sharing some of my favorite little tricks that have kept my children doctor free for 4 years… and counting!
