Ahh, Elderberry Syrup!

Our family's homemade daily "flu-shot" according to nature!
No matter what season it is, we have this stored in our fridge for daily intake.
The kids love it. In fact, they ask for it. Everyday!

It's great for boosting our immune system to fight off all kind of nasty bugs.

Here is how we make it:

Ingredients:

1 cup black elderberries
4 cups of purified water
2 T fresh (or dried) ginger root
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp cloves or clove powder
1 cup raw honey

Directions:

In a medium sauce pan, add: water, elderberries, ginger root,

cinnamon and cloves together. (Honey is for later)

Bring to a boil.
Turn down, cover and let simmer for about 45 min.

Once finished, strain into a bowl.

Let cool to lukewarm.
Once no longer hot, add honey and stir very well.

This recipe should make about 2-3 jars of syrup.
Inexpensive!
Effective!
Kid's Love It!

Daily dose: kids 1 tps, adults 1 Tbsp.
If we do get hit with 'the bug',
we take the recommended dose every 2-3 hours until we feel better.

It's really that easy!
